〜第２９回霧島国際音楽祭２００８〜
　
　 【創立１９８０年 創立者ゲルハルト・ボッセ】

　国立公園の豊かな自然の中で開かれる霧島国際音楽祭は、約１５０人の受講生を集める１５のマスタークラスと、６０人余りの国際的音楽家によって１８のコンサートが行われます。
　メイン会場〈みやまコンセール〉は、外洋に乗出す船をイメージした美しいホールで、７７０席の主ホールの優れた音響は国際的にも有名です（設計：槇　文彦、音響設計：安藤四一）。

　
　

◆　マスタークラス
国内外からの受講生が約１50名集まり、２週間の合宿で技量の研鑚に励みます。数ある音楽祭の中でも、本音楽祭のマスタークラスを経験していった受講生の中からは、後に国際コンクールでの受賞者や、現在日本を代表する演奏家が幾人も生まれており、その質の高さには定評があります。公開 レッスンも毎年好評を得ており、 マスタークラスの内容がより広く知られて来ています。

【Founded in 1980,  Founder : Gerhard Bosse】
Kirishima International Music Festival, held in Kirishima-Yaku National Park in spectacular natural surroundings, presents 15 master classes for some 150 students and 18 concerts by some 60 artists from various countries.
The main concert hall is Miyama Concert. It is designed after a ship to sail out to ocean and is internationally renowned for its wonderful acoustics with 770 seats. (Designed by Fumihiko Maki, Acoustic designed by Yoichi Ando)
　
　

◆　MASTER CLASSES
The seating of each Master Classes is about 8-10 students.
The students are selected by tape audition.
Lessons are given by a one-to-one basis.
The other students of the same class attend a lesson.
The lessons are also open to the public.
The students who are selected by the professors have a chance to perform in the concert hall.
