| 1956年文化放送賞、1957年日本音楽コンクール第１位 および特賞を受賞。1963年ミュンヘン国際コンクール第２位 、カザルス国際コンクール第１位、以後国際的な活動を始める。サントリー音楽賞、イザイ・メダル(ブルッセル）、モービル音楽賞芸術祭優秀賞、日本芸術院賞 、中島健蔵音楽賞など多くの賞がをその演奏やディスクに対し授与された。現在、桐朋学園大学学長、日本チェロ協会会長。サントリーホール館長。 | Won first prize and the special award at the 1957 Japan Music Concours, second prize at Internationaler Musikwettbewerb der ARD in 1963 and first prize at the 1963 Casals International Competition. Has been active part in f music at home and abroad ever since. He is the recipient of the Suntory Award and the National Academy of Arts Prize. He is presently a President of Toho Gakuen School of Music and Chairman of Japan Cellist Association. president of Suntory Hall. |
