マスタークラスは、アジア最高水準の教育の場とすることを目指しており、毎年、日本、韓国、中国、アメリカなどから150人以上の受講生が参加。個人レッスンばかりでなく、オーケストラ・コンサートのリハーサルや室内楽をとおして、ほかの楽器の受講生や教授との人間的・音楽的交流を計ることを念頭に、カリキュラムが組まれてい
ます。
今年のマスタークラスについて
・室内楽クラスに若林顕氏が加わります。
それに伴い〈個人応募〉の受講生には、教授・アーティストが受講生とグループを組みレッスンと、室内楽クラス・コンサートを行ないます。
・金管アンサンブルは、トランペットとホルンの2クラスに代わります。
・今年のヴァイオリン・クラスは、ダニエル・ゲーデ氏に代わってフェデリコ・アゴスティーニ氏（元・イ・ムジチ合奏団コンサートマスター）を迎えます。
・声楽クラスは休講します。

◆ マスタークラスについて
レッスンは原則として、全受講生出席のマスタークラス方式で行います。
また、レッスンは公開されます。
伴奏者、通訳が必要なクラスは、事務局で用意しています。 |

木管楽器は、弦楽器、ピアノとの作品が中心になります。
・ 団体応募は、二重奏から五重奏までとします。担当教授を定めますが、
他の教授がレッスンをする場合もあります。

・上記「若い音楽家たちのコンサート」出演者から霧島国際音楽祭大賞を
授与される場合があります（奨学金）。
・応募時、教授推薦により受講料の一部を免除する場合があります。
・外国籍で国外在住の応募者には、教授の推薦により国際渡航費全額補助をする場合があります（航空券購入時）。
・外国籍で国外在住のチェロ応募者には、航空運賃のチェロ席の一部を補助します（音楽祭終了時）。

受講にふさわしい能力があると認められ、全期間参加できる人（または団体）。

③ 録音物（MD,CD,DVD,カセットテープのいずれか）

ただし、事前に、申込書に記入すべき必要事項、写真データ、郵送する審査
用のテープをご準備の上、ご応募下さい。
１ 申込書、テープともに作曲者・曲名には原語表記も記入。
（アルファベットは筆記体で書かないこと）
2 録音物は、過去1年以内の演奏（曲目自由）を10～15分程度録音したもの。
・ 室内楽クラスの団体応募は、応募と同一メンバーの録音がない場合、各個
人のもの演奏を送ってください。（特別クラスを除く）
個人応募も可能です。
・ 氏名、演奏曲目（原語表記も忘れず）、録音日時、録音場所を必ずケースと
本体の両方に明記して下さい。

Guideline for applicants to the Master Classes
Master Classes 2008:July 20 (Sun) - August 3 (Sun)
Concert Series 2008:July 17 (Thu) - August 3 (Sun)
Master
classes try to achieve the highest educational opportunities possible
in the Asian region and more than 150 students from Japan, Korea,
China, USA etc. participate in the master classes every year. The
festival gives the students not only private lessons but also
trainings for chamber music and orchestra rehearsals so as to
encourage young people to have deep personal and musical
communication with professors and other students of
different instruments in the curriculum.
What's New the Master classes in 2008
-Professor Akira Wakabayashi, pianist will join teaching at the
chamber music master class.
-We have Trumpet and Horn Master Classes replace Brass ensemble.
-Professor Federico Agostini (Former
concertmaster of I Musici) will replace Professor Gaede this year for
the violin master class.
-Vocal master class is closed this year.

Accompanists and interpreters, if

-We will choose a professor in charge for each
group at the class but other
professors may join the class for teaching.

Any strings and piano students can take the chamber music
lesson. Violin students may choose either chamber music OR
orchestra study lessons. |

・Professors will assign a group and
program for you based on your request.
We may not be
able to accept your application, if your request does not
match the class.

students will perform at the final orchestra concert

August 3, conducted by Prof. Bosse.

All the cello students will attend the
Cello Orchestra Kirishima concerts on
July 24 and 28 with professors of cello and guest
cellists.

● Appearance at Hozan
Hall |
| |
Winds students will
have a chance to attend the concert on July 31
by professors of brass ensemble at Hozan Hall.

● Concerts by
students |

Those who are selected by
professors of each class will have an opportunity
to
perform at any of lobby concerts (to take place at venues
in Kirishima -8 concerts in total). "Chamber music class
concert" on August 1 and the "Young
musicians' concert" on August 2 at Miyama Concert Hall.

● Scholarship |

・Kirishima Music Festival Grand Prix may be awarded to an
outstanding
student at "Young musicians' concert"
・Those who are recommended by professors may partly exempt
of tuition fee
at the time of application.
・International
travel expenses for non-Japanese who live outside of Japan
may be compensated by recommendation of professors.
・Non-japanese
cello students who live outside of Japan will be partly
compensated of international airfare of cello seat at the
end of the festival.

members who will plan to take part in the Festival.

2. Please check your information which you filled in
and if you have your photo data, please send it in this
moment.
3. You will receive confirmation e-mail.
4. Please send your photo (3cm×4cm) and the audition tape (MD, CD, DVD, Cassette
tape) by post until May 16 (Fry) 2008 to the festival
office. If we didn't get your photo and audition tape until date of
deadline, we may not be able to accept your application.
